By keeping a bit distant and meeting a date in-person as soon as you can, you save yourself from building a strong mental connection with someone that simply may not exist in fact. By choosing to meet quickly you will also most likely expose many catfish that had no intention of ever meeting and simply wanted to form a virtual relationship by text or email.
3. Learn to spot cheaters!
If you have ever seen a man or woman online and wondered how this great catch can still be single, you may want to trust your instincts, because the world is full of cheaters and there are plenty of them online! If you are dating online you need to be on alert for men that seem to good to be true, they are most likely married. Instant red flags should be profiles saying ?separated,? profiles with one picture where the eyes are hidden (cheaters like to fly under the radar), profiles located 20 plus miles away where its harder for them to be caught by their partner. Once you get a bit more serious you can try simple things like calling your crush in the evening to see if he is able to answer, you can also test him by asking for his home address where he lives to see his reaction. Finally beware of the weekday dater, if your crush cannot make room on Friday or Saturday nights to see you, then he is most likely up to no good!
